Discover everything that Tossa de Mar has to offer

Pola Giverola is located between two breathtaking coves from which it takes its name – a five-minute drive away from Tossa de Mar, in the heart of the Costa Brava.

Tossa is a veritable outdoor museum. Its prehistoric remains give way to the Roman town of Turissa, the medieval Tursa and the modern Tossa, which first became a refuge for artists and intellectuals and then turned into a generous host for tourists and visitors alike. Don’t miss its impressive castle, as well as the neighbourhood around it. What’s more, you’ll inadvertently find traces of some of its most well-known inhabitants and visitors, such as the painter Marc Chagall or the actress Ava Gardner, whose charms drew Frank Sinatra to town.

If you’re a foodie, its traditional coastal cuisine with fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients will definitely whet your appetite. Make sure to try quintessential dishes such as anchovy suquet, bastina amb trufos – a fish stew with potatoes – or the all-time favourite cim i tomba, which will leave you asking for more!
